An Art Nouveau design of  silver ‌sterling oxidized earrings', with 14k gold closures.‌

Those earrings designed like a delicate antique fan, engraved on it a little upside down butterfly on a flower.

The oxidation of the sterling silver emphasizes the design.

* I'm using 14k gold for the closures because it's healthier to the earlobe and stronger than silver. ‌

Total length is about 25 mm.

The oval silver size is about:‌ 15x10 mm.

** Oxidized silver is a process that many jewelers use to design sterling silver to a black patina.  It gives the jewelry a character or antique look. The process consists of taking clean sterling silver and using a chemical solution named sulphur to treat it to speed up the tarnishing effect. It doesn't make any damage to the sterling silver and it always can be revised to classic white silver look. this is the reason why I love making jewelry of sterling silver it can be in many variations of designs, structure and colors.
